The perspective

AI in the public sector - what the brief actually requires.

AI in government is held to a higher bar than in commercial work, and rightly so. Citizens cannot opt out of the systems that determine their eligibility, their permits, or their access to services. The cost of an error is not a refund; it is a person whose status is wrong in a database, whose case is misrouted, or whose language is not served. A program that ignores this stops being useful long before it becomes controversial.

What the public sector needs is rarely what a generic enterprise vendor brings. Sovereign data residency on the Israel Landing Zone. WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility and IS 5568 enforcement, not as a final-mile concession but as a design constraint from the first sketch. Multilingual coverage that recognizes and answers in the citizen's language - not English with a translation layer. Identity that integrates with national identity infrastructure, not a generic SSO. Audit that meets the standards of a state comptroller, signed and tamper-evident at every state change.

This is the work we have shipped - citizen platforms, ministry-grade voice, and case-management AI in production with PIBA and the Ministry of Health. It is not the work a team learns on a first deployment. The cultural and procurement realities of public-sector delivery are as load-bearing as the architecture: working with the regulator, the security agency, and the operations team in the same room, on the same problem, with the same definition of done. We have done that work, and we build the program assuming the next review is by people who will read every line.

What we ship

Four patterns that work in production.

Citizen portals

Multilingual self-service for permits, status checks, and case management. WCAG 2.1 AA, fully on the IL Landing Zone.

Voice over SIP, regulated

Multilingual voice agents with PII redaction inside the VPC. Built for ministries, not chatbot vendors.

Case management AI

Document parsing, eligibility scoring, and routing - audit-grade by default.

Cross-ministry knowledge (RAG)

Retrieval grounded in regulations, policies, and prior rulings. No hallucinations on the record.
